Introducing a new comer to the Vert.X Community

Image
Vert.X community, project and my experience What kind of people participate in your community ? Everybody can be part of the community. You just need some basic programming skills and the will to be part and contribute with others. I (writing this blog) am from Africa (Cameroon) and my mentor is from Netherlands. This is just a mini example to show you people from every part of the world can be part of the Eclipse vert.X community. What problem is your community trying to solve  ? Vert.x is a polyglot web framework that shares common functionalities among its supported languages Java, Kotlin, Scala, Ruby, and Javascript. Regardless of language, Vert.x operates on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). Being modular and lightweight, it is geared toward microservices development.   It's an opensource community. It's principal goal is to create tools in the different technologies mentioned to ease developers' work and make them more efficient. Of the many projects carried out by the

Week 2: Understanding Core functionality of WebRTC

Understanding Core functionality of WebRTC I studied the core functionalities of  webRTC ; its architecture, how it operates. I must admit my knowledge on this technology is not perfect yet, but with great help from my mentor  (who sometimes implemented sample projects just so I see how it works), I have improved alot how WebRTC works. I got alot of support from my mentor working on this WebRTC  (Web Real-Time Communication) is a technology that enables Web applications and sites to capture and optionally stream audio and/or video media, as well as to exchange arbitrary data between browsers without requiring an intermediary.

Week I: Introduce yourself

Week I: Introduce yourself Meet Teddy Hello World! I am Akonjang Teddy a self-thought computer programmer from Buea, Cameroon. I am a Biology student but along the way, I gained interest in programming from my sister who was a Software Engineer. In the beginning, I thought it was all a joke, her just sitting in front of the computer all day and escaping house chores until I saw her actually make a living out of it. That was when I began learning how to code from  freeCodeCamp .  My Core Values Curiosity: I am always interested in exploring new things experimenting with APIs and seeing what features I can build from it. Growth:   I also am also curious in meeting new people who think and code differently because it helps me master certain concepts by asking myself why it was done this way and if it can be improved. Asking myself these questions pushes my brain to develop a mastery of certain aspects of not just programming but also how to interact with others. Leadership: I believe the
